Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Budget Analyst to join one of our defense clients in Houston, TX. This person will be responsible for providing budget management support through the collection, analysis, and reporting of financial data for monthly and quarterly Comprehensive Cost and Requirement (CCaR) reviews. Reviews funding request documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with government funding guidelines. Monitors and tracks funding, commitments, and disbursements using General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), maintaining accurate financial records and spend plans. Identifies and reports funding discrepancies, prepares financial status updates utilizing GFEBS Business Intelligence (BI) reports, and supports Government Resource Managers with timely budget execution and financial oversight.

$30/hr to $45/hr : Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of managerial accounting experience supporting Government-funded PMO operations
  • Experience with Army ERP and personnel systems, including GCSS-A, IPPS-A, and RLAS
  • 24+ credit hours in Business/Math or Level III DAWIA Budget Management Certification
  • Knowledge of Government funding restrictions and financial management processes
  • Experience with Army financial systems, including SOMARDS and GFEBS
