Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer | Phoenix, AZ
Our client, a leading aerospace and defense technology organization, is seeking a Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. Advanced Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering team supporting advanced controls, automation, and test systems development. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, technical leadership skills, and the ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Range: $55.03 - $58.89/hour
What’s the Job?

Architect, develop, and test PLC programs for new and existing equipment using industry best practices.
-
Define controls system requirements and create detailed functional specifications.
-
Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot LabVIEW-based systems to meet evolving customer needs.
-
Lead implementation, integration, and testing of automation systems, including electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.

Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers.
What’s Needed?
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

6+ years of PLC programming experience across multiple hardware platforms, with experience in Emerson, Allen-Bradley, or Phoenix Contact systems preferred.

6+ years of experience with LabVIEW (required), VeriStand, Python, and .NET.

Proven ability to architect and develop control system software from scratch using object-oriented programming, function blocks, and add-on instructions.

U.S. Citizenship required and experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical control systems.
