JOB REQUIREMENTS: OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANYFox TV Stations FOX Television Stations (FTS) owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations, including stations in 14 of the top 15 markets and duopolies in 11. Eighteen are FOX Network affiliates, and together the stations produce approximately 1,300 hours of local news every week. FOX LOCAL, the company's free ad-supported digital and streaming product, extends that news, weather and local content across connected TV & mobile devices. LiveNOW from FOX expands the FTS portfolio even further as the only national streaming services to be truly live 24/7, covering breaking news and events as they happen. JOB DESCRIPTION FOX6 is reimagining local news, and we're looking for a morning anchor who brings more than polished prompter skills. We've moved away from formulaic rundowns and traditional scripting in favor of authentic, unscripted, high-impact local journalism centered on live, breaking, and evolving stories. We need an active journalist and high-energy content creator. We're also looking for a true newsroom leader - someone who demonstrates and inspires initiative, curiosity, empathy, and accountability. This role requires a dedicated morning person comfortable with a 2:30 a.m. start time. You'll kick off your shift steering fast-paced, streaming-first coverage. You'll spend the early morning news hours sourcing original stories and engaging in real-time reporting from the newsroom; you'll then co-anchor late-morning hours. This role isn't about showing up to present the content; it's about actively building it.
