SAP Product Owner

Job Description

We are seeking a Product Owner with hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience to support supply chain, procurement, and related finance capabilities. This individual will partner with business and technical teams to translate business needs into scalable SAP solutions, manage the product backlog, and support delivery across procurement and supply chain processes.

This is a hands-on Product Owner role requiring a strong understanding of SAP design and configuration, particularly within procurement and Materials Management (MM).

Responsibilities Own and prioritize the product backlog for SAP supply chain and procurement capabilities. Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and solution requirements. Partner with business stakeholders and SAP functional/technical teams to design and deliver solutions. Support SAP S/4HANA design and configuration across procurement, purchasing, inventory, and related processes. Lead requirements gathering and help identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. Support testing, defect resolution, data readiness, releases, and post-launch stabilization. Coordinate across Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technology teams. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of SAP S/4HANA design and configuration experience. Experience working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, SAP Functional Consultant, or similar role. Strong experience with SAP Materials Management (MM) and procurement/procure-to-pay processes. Understanding of SAP integrations with Finance/Controlling (FI/CO). Experience owning or managing a product backlog in an Agile environment. Experience translating business requirements into user stories and functional requirements. Experience supporting SAP implementations, enhancements, testing, or post-go-live activities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience with SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and order-to-cash processes. Experience with inventory management and invoice verification. Experience using Jira and Confluence. Exposure to automation, analytics, or AI within procurement, finance, or supply chain.
