Full job description

Description

Robert Half HR Solutions is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in search of an HR Generalist to join its expanding team. This role will serve as a key resource for employees and management, supporting a workforce of 500+ employees across multiple departments. The HR Generalist will be responsible for full-cycle hourly recruiting, onboarding, new hire orientation, light employee relations support, HRIS administration, and day-to-day HR operations.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and experienced working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing, production, warehouse, and operations positions

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely hiring of qualified candidates

  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs

  • Conduct background checks, pre-employment screenings, and new hire paperwork

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR-related questions, concerns, and policy interpretation

  • Support employee relations matters and partner with leadership to resolve workplace issues

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR data within ADP Workforce Now (ADP WFN)

  • Process employee status changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations within the HRIS

  • Assist with benefits administration and employee communications

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies

  • Support performance management, employee engagement, and retention initiatives

  • Generate HR reports and provide workforce data as needed

  • Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

  • 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience

  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial workforce strongly preferred

  • Proven experience recruiting high-volume hourly employees

  • Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (required)

  • Strong knowledge of onboarding, employee relations, and HR best practices

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting a workforce of 500+ employees

  • Multi-state HR experience a plus

  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment
