Job overview

Innotec’s Product/Process Engineer will manage BoardFree® technology and lead product and process development. The role reviews machine designs, supports machine assembly and debugging, builds production lines, sources suppliers, and develops processes to improve throughput, scrap, and quality. It also provides technical support to sales, supports continuous improvement, connects product design with customers, and performs failure analyses and design and part validation testing.

Full job description

Manage proprietary BoardFree® technology. Lead product and process development. Review machine designs. Control design review. Assemble, program, and debug machines. Build production line. Source suppliers. Develop new process for higher parts per hour to ensure less scrap and better quality. Provide technical support to sales team. Collaborate with product specialist to support continuous improvement of products and processes. Connect the Product Design Team with the customer. Perform Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA). Perform Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA). Execute Design Verification Testing. Execute Part Validation Testing. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field and 8 years of experience as a Mechatronics Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Product Engineer, Process Engineer, Technical Engineer, or a closely related occupation. Alternatively requires 10 years of experience as a Mechatronics Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Product Engineer, Process Engineer, Technical Engineer, or a closely related occupation. Also requires 5 years of experience with BoardFree® LED manufacturing technology and associated manufacturing processes; illuminated sill plate for automotive; extruded light guide for automotive; laser, molding, and extrusion technologies; Programable Logic Controllers (PLCs); infrared heating; electrical circuit design; and precision optics design and manufacturing.
