Mechanical Engineer

JOB DUTIES: * This role incorporates design, system integration, project installation, programming and/or repair of mechanical systems. * Report directly to the plant engineering manager and company owner. * Be assigned complex technical projects or business issues requiring advanced technical or industry knowledge. * Expected to work autonomously and be in charge of your own budget and timeline on projects * Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms * Serve in a leadership capacity to maintenance department, floor supervisors, and production workers * This role does not have any direct reports * Manage projects for successful and timely completion * Execute new product development projects from concept to design, testing, and implementation to production * Support production by designing and employing productivity and quality improvements * Gain swift understanding of a new machine or system in order to troubleshoot, repurpose and/or utilize * Perform system integration (hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical controls) * Work in a dynamic environment and adjust to shifting priorities. * Work with team members to identify and design required fixtures for manufacturing, testing, and assembly * Write detailed work instructions for machined components and assemblies * Create detailed drawings and design tools/fixtures as required. * Ensure all projects are consistent with industry standards and in accordance with good engineering practices REQUIREMENTS: * 2-3 years+ mechanical or electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment * Strong math, reasoning, creative and problem solving skills * BS/MS mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience * Proficiency in solid modeling (Inventor and MasterCam are a plus) * Excellent mechanical aptitude and exceptional technical skills * Experience/proficiency in some programming language (PLC is a plus) Follow link to apply through Company website: https://jobs.affinitypersonnel.com/index.smpl
