Description

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead web-focused initiatives. This contract opportunity is on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area, and ideal for someone who can bring structure to complex digital work, guide cross-functional teams, and keep programs moving from concept through launch. The role calls for a strong operational mindset, excellent stakeholder communication, and the ability to tailor delivery approaches to meet evolving project needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full delivery cycle for web initiatives, guiding work from intake and scoping through execution, validation, and release.

  • Partner with engineering, design, content, marketing, and web strategy stakeholders to define priorities, clarify requirements, and maintain alignment on timelines and outcomes.

  • Apply a flexible project delivery approach by selecting and refining Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall practices based on project scope and team needs.

  • Administer and optimize project management platforms such as Jira and ClickUp, including workflow setup, dashboard creation, and usage guidance for team members.

  • Establish and enhance governance standards for web operations to improve consistency, accountability, and delivery quality across projects.

  • Manage the web roadmap by balancing priorities, coordinating resources, and ensuring work supports broader business objectives.

  • Facilitate agile team routines such as sprint planning, daily check-ins, retrospective sessions, and backlog refinement meetings.

  • Track program metrics and analyze delivery performance to identify bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and support data-informed decisions.

Requirements • 5+ years of experience in program management or technical project management, with significant responsibility for complex web-based projects.

  • Demonstrated success leading projects with Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall methods and knowing when to apply each approach effectively.

  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end web delivery process, including both technical execution and creative collaboration.

  • Advanced hands-on experience with Jira and ClickUp, including configuring workflows, building reports, and supporting user adoption.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to turn business needs into organized execution plans.

  • Analytical and process-focused mindset with a track record of improving team operations through metrics and continuous refinement.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and multiple concurrent initiatives. Innovation starts with people.®
