Introduction

We are seeking an entry-level Associate Product Manager (Band 6) to join our Agentic AI Platforms team. In this role, you will support the development and execution of product strategy for agentic AI capabilities — including autonomous agents, orchestration frameworks, and AI-driven workflows — across IBM Cloud, Red Hat, and IBM Software. This is an ideal position for a motivated early-career professional eager to build product management skills in a fast-growing AI platform space. You will work closely with senior product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to contribute to roadmap planning, customer discovery, and delivery execution.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Assist in documenting and maintaining the product roadmap for agentic AI capabilities, tracking progress and surfacing risks.

  • Research market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging AI architectures to inform product direction.

  • Support development of product positioning and use case documentation for autonomous agents and AI-driven workflows.

  • Assist in writing and refining product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for agent runtimes, orchestration layers, and platform integrations.

  • Track delivery milestones, flag blockers, and maintain status updates across engineering workstreams.

  • Support customer discovery and stakeholder interviews by coordinating logistics, taking notes, and synthesizing findings.

  • Assist in preparing launch materials, field enablement content, and executive briefing decks.

  • Assist in tracking and reporting KPIs related to product adoption and customer value across portfolios.

  • Prepare clear status updates and progress summaries for senior leadership.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology

  • 0-2 years of product management, product operations, or related experience (internships and co-ops count).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to synthesize complex information clearly.

  • Genuine curiosity about AI/ML, large language models (LLMs), and cloud platforms.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to support decision-making.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Exposure to agile product development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or similar).

  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, cloud infrastructure, or developer platforms through coursework, projects, or internships.

  • Basic understanding of OpenShift, hybrid cloud architectures, or open-source ecosystems is a plus.

  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Aha!, Confluence, or similar product and project management platforms.
