Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Department Administrator/Coordinator for a top academic institution in New Haven, CT. This person will be supporting the Chemistry department within the School of Arts and Sciences. They will support faculty recruitment and appointments across multiple departments, playing a critical role in nationwide faculty searches and postdoctoral hiring. The ideal candidate is highly professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complex recruitment processes involving international candidates, visa considerations, and collaboration with senior academic leadership. This is a high-visibility role that offers long-term growth potential through contract-to-hire conversion. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire based on performance and pays $30.29.

Skills and Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience supporting a Department Chair for a higher education institution
  • Strong recruitment coordination experience (posting ads, resume review, committee communication)
  • Experience with Visa's
  • Ability to manage multiple, highly visible, job searches at once
  • Exposure to international hiring process and onboarding
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's Degree Experience using Interfolio
