Human Resources (HR) Events Coordinator

Job Type: Part-Time with Benefits

Pay Rate: $17/hr.

Location: Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas

WHAT WE PROVIDE:

This is a year-round position at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in the Human Resources department. Responsibilities:

As our HR Employee Events & Communications Coordinator, you’ll help bring the Team Member experience to life by coordinating and executing employee events, recognition programs, celebrations, and engagement activities throughout the year.

From planning and preparation to setup, execution, and post-event wrap-up, you’ll help ensure every event is organized, engaging, and memorable for our Team Members.

  • Event Coordination: Assist with planning and executing employee events, celebrations, recognition programs, and engagement activities throughout the year.

  • Event Logistics: Coordinate event details including schedules, locations, supplies, decorations, signage, equipment, food and beverage needs, and activity materials.

  • Setup & Execution: Take an active role in event setup, operation, and breakdown while ensuring activities stay organized and run smoothly.

  • Internal Coordination: Partner with HR Leaders, department representatives, vendors, and other resources to coordinate event needs and ensure everyone is prepared for execution.

  • Team Member Engagement: Help develop fun, creative, and engaging experiences that encourage Team Member participation and strengthen workplace culture.

  • Event Communications: Create and distribute flyers, signage, announcements, invitations, and other materials to promote upcoming events and activities.

  • Event Support: Assist with check-in, prize distribution, games, activities, food service coordination, recognition presentations, and other event needs.

  • Event Documentation: Capture photos and videos of events, recognition ceremonies, and special moments for internal communications and event recaps.

  • Organization & Inventory: Maintain event calendars, planning documents, decorations, supplies, prizes, and other event-related materials.

Qualifications:

  • Creative and Enthusiastic: You have a passion for capturing and sharing exciting moments and can contribute fresh ideas for employee celebrations, recognition programs, themes, activities, and engagement opportunities.

  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with social media platforms, photo/video editing software, and design tools.

  • Highly Organized: Able to manage multiple events, deadlines, supplies, schedules, and details at the same time and stay on top of deadlines.

  • Communicator: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Adaptable: Comfortable adjusting plans, solving problems, and responding to changing needs during events.

  • Team Player: Works well with others and enjoys being part of a fun and dynamic team.

  • Flexible: Open availability and willing to work some holidays, weekends, and late evenings.

  • All other duties as assigned by Management.

  • Reports to HR Leadership.
