The Services and Support Operations (SSO) is a global leader of integrated MRO services and support. Account Manager (SSO – Location: Irvine, CA)

Position Summary

Manages and executes all sales activities and contracted bookings for Premier and Strategic customer accounts. Partners with internal SSO and division teams to improve customer scorecard performance and increase LTR. Identifies growth opportunities across major programs, product lines, and market segments within the division, while supporting the execution of awarded business negotiated by Business Development Managers within the territory. Performs root cause analysis for underperforming spare parts and MRO components and develops, coordinates, and implements corrective action plans to improve performance.

Scope/Supervision and Interaction:

Provides leadership for an aftermarket business segment; is the primary contact for assigned customers of moderate complexity and scope. May provide guidance and assign work to other Parker employees (e.g. administrators, technicians or engineers). Coordination may cross multiple sites and divisions. Has regular interaction with customers and Division leadership. Typically reports to division staff or an aftermarket business development manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Acts as primary interface with customers by maintaining on-site presence and developing and maintaining on-going, long-term relationships at all levels of the customer’s organization with a focus on Premier and Strategic customer base.

  • Serves as the customer’s advocate within Parker by acting as the liaison and facilitator for the resolution of issues regarding any aspect of Parker support. Identifies technical, logistical, performance, or support issues with Parker products or services.

  • Ensures long-term profitable growth of spares, repairs, product improvements, and retrofit business of all Parker Aerospace product lines at assigned customers by working with Aftermarket Business Development Managers to develop and implement marketing plans and strategies.

  • Identify new business opportunities through working the closure of major customer issues

  • Responsible for meeting sales and contracted bookings targets for portfolio of customers identified by Manager. Capable of obtaining customer intel/forecasts and translating that into division specific action plans as it relates to FY plan and outlook

  • Owns customer scorecard performance metrics (delivery TAT, quality / quarantined events, warranty adjudication, reliability, customer service) and partners with the service centers, CRC, spares - surplus, reliability, customer service engineering, field service, and divisions to maintain a high level of operational performance.

  • Performs root cause analysis for underperforming spare parts and MRO components and develops, coordinates, and implements and maintains corrective action plans to improve performance

  • Provides contractual performance auditing to confirm adherence of key contractual terms such as pricing / exclusivity vs actual events.

  • Serves as customer expert and resource – i.e. “owns” the VOC to SSO and Divisions.

  • Complies with federal, state, and aerospace industry regulations by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions (e.g. export compliance).

  • Coordinates the completion of administration tasks of discounts, royalties, rebates, remedies, and CY escalation.

  • Responsible for leading F2F customer reviews. Prepares all presentations needed for F2F reviews by partnering with technical / service center teams.

  • Coordinates the development and population of Plan for Every Customer “PFEC” alongside Business Development Manager.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending seminars, reviewing trade and technical publications, establishing networks, and/or participating in professional associations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree (BA) in Marketing, Engineering, or related field. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through eight or more years of increasingly responsible experience, including two or more years of high-level program management or prior customer account management experience and well-established customer contacts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Comprehensive knowledge of principles, industry practices, company products, technology, regulations, service capabilities, and policies related to marketing and business development for airline or OEM customers. Knowledge of program management and business processes and procedures, including technical and business proposal development. Knowledge of domestic and international customer budgeting and acquisition processes and procedures. Knowledge of competitors’ products and marketing efforts and national, industrial business, and political interests. Knowledge of other companies’ products and capabilities for potential teaming and alliances. Knowledge of related US and international rules and regulations. Ability to work on most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables and/or incomplete data; understanding problems from a broad, long-term perspective. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex policies and recommend changes to procedures. Ability to respond to significant inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to use standard business applications software. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to top management, customers, and/or boards of directors. Ability to translate customer desires and projected requirements into business development strategies and develop solutions to customer problems. Ability to demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $122910 to $215170 annually

  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
