Full job description

Job Description

  • Manage employee relations including workplace concerns, coaching, corrective action, investigations, and documentation for a growing commercial roofing company
  • Maintain HR policies and procedures and support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements
  • Coordinate benefits, leave, and workers' compensation and communicate employee changes with payroll, finance, and benefit partners
  • Support performance and compensation processes including reviews, job descriptions, promotions, and wage or salary changes
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting and hiring for office, field, operations, and management positions
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding including orientation, employment paperwork, personnel files, and separation documentation
  • Coordinate employee training and development and help managers track required training and workforce development needs
  • Maintain HRIS records and HR reporting and support staffing and employee integration as NECC adds locations or acquisitions

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Manager role in the construction or roofing industries
  • Conversational or bilingual in English & Spanish
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices with the ability to apply policies consistently
  • Experience using HRIS, payroll, benefits, or applicant tracking systems and maintaining confidential employee records
  • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, judgment, organization, and confidentiality with the ability to work effectively with employees and leadership
