Farmworker Farm Ranch and Acquacultural Animals

Duties may include feeding, watering, catching and loading. Swath and bale forage for feed. Haul feed and hay. Monitor animal health, process livestock. Assist with shipping/receiving of cattle. Inspect, maintain and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards and fences. Maintain/clean shop area. Other general farm labor duties as assigned but not limited to clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping. Or clean stalls, pens and equipment using disinfectant solutions, brushes, water hoses or pumps. One hour lunch break offered & other related Farm Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. Worker's may be required to work during adverse weather. Example: A snowstorm comes in and the electricity goes out. If the cattle get out workers will be required to help contain the animals for the safety of the animals. Must speak and understand English. Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.
