Full job description

Hims & Hers is the leading health and wellness platform, on a mission to help the world feel great through the power of better health. We are redefining healthcare by putting the customer first and delivering access to care that is affordable, accessible, and personal, from diagnosis to treatment to delivery. No two people are the same, so we provide access to personalized care designed for results. By normalizing health & wellness challenges and innovating on their solutions, we’re making better health outcomes easier to achieve.

Hims & Hers is a public company, traded on the NYSE under the ticker symbol “HIMS.” To learn more about the brand and offerings, you can visit hims.com/about and hims.com/how-it-works . For information on the company’s outstanding benefits, culture, and its talent-first flexible/remote work approach, see below and visit www.hims.com/careers-professionals.

About the Role As an Instructional Designer, Clinical, you will play a critical role in supporting an exceptional care experience at Hims and Hers. Our providers are the backbone of our care experience. In this role, you’ll draw on your instructional design toolkit to support our providers through the entire lifecycle, from onboarding to ongoing enablement. You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have a curious mindset and an objectives-first, impact-informed approach to instructional design. We’re looking for someone who can deeply understand the needs of our providers, partner effectively with a range of stakeholders, and deliver high-quality learning experiences across modalities that improve the provider, and therefore the patient, experience.

You Will

  • Design best-in-class learning experiences across eLearning, clinical guidelines, documentation, job aids, assessments and knowledge checks, and other modalities as projects demand.

  • Partner with Care Delivery, Medical Affairs, Product, Category, Clinical Quality, and other teams to support a continuous stream of launches, guideline updates, and provider-facing communications

  • Measure and report on the impact of your work.

  • Support the Sr. Instructional Designer on strategic projects, such as lifecycle mapping, in-product enablement, documentation content strategy, and proofs-of-concept for new types of learning experience

  • Lend capacity to the customer service training team on an as-needed basis

You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning & Development, or related field required (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design and e-learning development with a proven track record of creating effective learning solutions.

  • 2-3 years of instructional design experience in a scaling SaaS or B2C environment

  • The ability to distill large quantities of unstructured information into clear, intuitive, and impactful learning experiences.

  • Strong working knowledge of adult learning best practices and a track record of applying them

  • Facility with standard instructional design tools (Authoring tools, LMS) and a willingness to learn and experiment with new tools.

  • A growth mindset. Knowing everything on day 1 matters far less than your posture toward learning and growth.

  • Comfort with ambiguity. This role requires someone who is able to work independently to define requirements, create clarity with stakeholders, and press projects forward in low-information environments.

Our Benefits (there are more but here are some highlights):

  • Competitive salary & equity compensation for full-time roles

  • Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days

  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental & vision, and parental leave

  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)

  • 401k benefits with employer matching contribution

  • Offsite team retreats

We are committed to building a workforce that reflects diverse perspectives and prioritizes ethics, wellness, and a strong sense of belonging. If you're excited about this role, we encourage you to apply—even if you're not sure if your background or experience is a perfect match.
