The Early Career Development (ECD) Program is a unique two-year leadership development experience designed to prepare high-potential talent for future commercial careers. Participants begin their journey on the Sales Excellence Tours Team, where they gain unmatched exposure to our business, leaders, customers, and culture. After successfully completing the first year, participants transition into the Associate Territory Manager (ATM) Program, where they develop the commercial, agronomic, and customer engagement skills needed for a successful sales career.

This program is ideal for individuals who are curious, relationship-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn how a world-class agricultural business operates from the inside out.

What Makes This Program Different?

Unlike traditional entry-level positions, the ECD Program provides broad organizational exposure before participants move into commercial sales development.

During your first year, you'll interact with senior leaders, customers, interns, employees, university groups, and stakeholders from across the business while helping create exceptional visitor experiences.

In your second year, you'll transition into the Associate Territory Manager Program, where you'll build sales, customer relationships, and territory management capabilities through structured training, mentorship, and field experiences.

What You'll Do

Year 1: Sales Excellence Tours Team

Create Exceptional Experiences

  • Support the planning and execution of customer visits, university tours, leadership events, intern experiences, and stakeholder engagements.

  • Coordinate logistics including schedules, presentations, travel arrangements, meeting spaces, and communications.

  • Assist with tour-day operations and event execution.

Become a Business Ambassador

  • Represent the organization professionally to visitors and stakeholders.

  • Help create engaging experiences that showcase our culture, people, products, and values.

  • Facilitate interactions between visitors and business leaders.

Develop Project Management Skills

  • Manage project timelines and event planning details.

  • Create presentations, communications, agendas, and program materials.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and strategic projects.

Learn the Business

  • Gain exposure to sales, marketing, agronomy, operations, customer engagement, innovation, and commercial leadership teams.

  • Participate in networking events, leadership development opportunities, and business meetings.

  • Build a strong understanding of how the commercial organization drives customer success.

Year 2: Associate Territory Manager Development

Participants who successfully complete Year 1 will transition into the Associate Territory Manager Program where they will:

  • Develop customer relationship management skills.

  • Learn consultative and value-based selling techniques.

  • Strengthen agronomic and product knowledge.

  • Participate in customer-facing experiences and field activities.

  • Build business planning and territory management capabilities.

  • Receive mentorship and coaching from commercial leaders.

  • Complete structured sales and leadership development training.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in:

  • Agricultural Business

  • Agronomy

  • Business Administration

  • Marketing

  • Communications

  • Sales

  • Management

  • Public Relations

  • Hospitality Management

  • Or related fields

  • Graduation within the past two years or upcoming graduation before program start.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership through internships, student organizations, athletics, work experience, or other extracurricular involvement.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or work experience in sales, customer service, event management, recruiting, agriculture, marketing, or business operations.

  • Experience presenting to groups or leading organizations.

  • Interest in pursuing a long-term career in commercial agriculture and sales.
