Civil Laborer

JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Performs general labor duties in support of utility and civil construction operations. Assists with the installation, maintenance, and repair of utility infrastructure.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Performs physical labor tasks including digging, trenching, shoveling, loading and unloading materials, setting structures, and site cleanup * Assists with job site setup, maintenance, and breakdown * Follows directions from the Foreman or Site Supervisor to support daily project activities * Safely operates hand tools and equipment in accordance with company policies and OSHA standards * Works effectively as part of a crew in fast-paced outdoor environments * Maintains accurate timesheets and daily work records * Drive to and from job sites * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor * Complies with all safety rules, procedures, and regulations * Performs other duties as assignedMINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: * Must be at least 18 years of age by the start date of employment * OSHA 10Hour Certification required at time of hire or within 90 days thereafter. * 3 years experience in utilities, telecommunications, civil construction, or related field (preferred) * Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record. * Commercial Driver License or willingness to obtain (preferred) * Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and medical card evaluation. * Knowledge of basic construction safety practices * Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English related to job duties and safety requirements.WORKING CONDITIONS: * Outdoor construction work environment * Exposure to varying weather conditions * Physically demanding work including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and digging
