Graphic Designer

Location: Athens, TN

Work Arrangement: On-site

Employment Type: Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a Graphic Designer to join a collaborative creative team supporting a variety of print and digital design projects. This role will have a strong print and packaging design focus, with an emphasis on creating, updating, and preparing production-ready artwork.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects while working within established brand guidelines and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with members of the creative and marketing teams to support a variety of design needs

  • Create, maintain, and update existing design files and creative assets

  • Develop and adapt designs according to established brand guidelines

  • Create and update product labels and packaging artwork

  • Edit and prepare product photography for use across print and digital materials

  • Develop and utilize design templates for product labels and other creative materials

  • Prepare files for final print and digital production

  • Review artwork for accuracy, consistency, and errors before final production

  • Interpret technical documents and specifications for use in packaging and label design

  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field is preferred

  • Professional experience in graphic design, preferably with exposure to print, packaging, labeling, or production design

  • Strong understanding of the print production process

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify errors before production

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly:

  • Adobe InDesign

  • Adobe Illustrator

  • Adobe Photoshop

  • Adobe Acrobat

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Comfortable working in a Windows environment

  • Experience preparing production-ready files for print and digital use
