Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Direct Materials Category Manager to support procurement operations across six manufacturing facilities within the manufacturing industry. This role will manage approximately $75M in direct spend and will play a critical role in optimizing supplier strategies, mitigating risk, and driving measurable cost improvements across key raw and semi‑finished material categories. This position supports a procurement organization undergoing transformation, with increased emphasis on global sourcing, supplier consolidation, and long‑term category strategy.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related
- 7-10+ years of direct category management experience within a manufacturing environment (textiles preferred)
