Engineering and Production Supervisor

Design aeration and wastewater systems and processes for advanced wastewater treatment, including fine bubble diffusers and membrane materials used in wastewater treatment applications, participate in new product development projects, conduct DWP and performance tests, head loss and heat loss calculations for aeration piping systems including preparation of reports and analyses, prepare technical drawings and layouts. Plan, organize and delegate work assignments in order to best utilize personnel and equipment used in fabrication, anticipate production problems and devise and implement procedures to offset lost production and schedule interruptions. Supervise departmental inspections, employee training, and safety rule enforcement, participate in recruitment, training, goal-setting and performance management of production staff. Coordinate factory oxygen transfer testing procedures with Third party testing company and customer. Supervise installation and commissioning of aeration equipment. Requires up to 10% domestic travel for commissioning aeration systems, attending aeration equipment training seminars, and participating in industry trade shows. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Foreign equivalents accepted. 2 years experience in project coordination, production planning, or engineering support within the wastewater treatment or related manufacturing industry. Must include some experience with: - Designing and commissioning of aeration systems, including fine bubble diffusers and membrane materials used in wastewater treatment applications. - Conducting DWP and performance tests including preparation of reports and analyses. - Performing process design, head loss and heat loss calculations for aeration piping systems. - Preparation of technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD OR Revit MEP. - Production planning and scheduling. - Developing and monitoring project budgets. - Supervising installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment, including performance testing for oxygen transfer efficiency. - Implementing QA/QC protocols for fabricated aeration equipment. - Preparing turnkey bid proposals, reviewing project specifications, and performing value engineering to develop cost-effective aeration system solutions.
