Concordance Healthcare Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Safety and DOT Compliance Manager in any Concordance location. This position will work directly for the Director, Safety & Compliance managing Concordance's DOT trucking compliance programs including but not limited to Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Files, DOT Driver Qualification Files, DOT Drug/Alcohol Programs and Hours of Services.
The Fleet Safety & DOT Compliance Manager will be responsible for assisting the Director, Safety & Compliance with the continued development, execution, and administration of effective workplace EHS programs and ensuring operations regulatory compliance with governing agencies such as DOT, EPA, FMCSA, DEA, FAA, FDA, and OSHA. This position requires knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation, safety, and employment laws. The ideal candidate is comfortable with handling multiple projects within the organization.
Essential Functions:
Ensures compliance with all company and DOT regulations, policies, and procedures; design/develop & implement training programs as necessary.
Maintain driver qualification processes per DOT/Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) standards to ensure compliance.
Assist HR in managing the processes for Driver Background Checks, Pre-Employment Medical Screening & DOT Physicals, Previous Employer release of information, etc.
Main point of contact for all DOT safety & compliance issues for all personnel and managers involved with compliance. Exert influence and maintain integrity to the letter of the law for all regulations by the governing agencies that this position represents.
Overall responsibility for electronic logs being in compliance with all DOT regulations across all facilities.
Responsible for ensuring proactive communication and training of the drivers in understanding the impact of the company's CSA score.
Advise, recommend, & administer discipline for safety related violations; provide ongoing reporting of compliance performance to executive leadership.
Assist other departments within the company by providing technical input and insight into regulatory requirements.
Conduct investigations on all commercial vehicle crashes for infraction of company policy, maintain records, report all accidents to insurance carriers and maintain DOT federal accident register.
Ensure successful on-boarding of new drivers, and completing all necessary documentation; be well versed and actively participate in Orientation of new drivers.
Coordinate with location resources to source work, ensuring the maintenance and repairs of all CMVs & equipment as needed
Travel required up to 50% of the time. Some weeks travel required 100%.

What You will Need to be Successful:
Bachelor's degree in Operations, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a transportation or distribution management capacity.
Extensive knowledge of and working experience with FMCSA/DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS) rules and ELDs.
Knowledge of Federal and State traffic laws and requirements for tractor/trailer equipment.
High level of proficiency in procedures, policies, methodology and instruction.
Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
Ability to work independently and be detail oriented.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to direct and achieve priorities, goals, and strategies with limited supervision.
Must work in a safe, efficient and respectful manner with other personnel.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail required.
Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screening.
Willing to travel to all Concordance locations, depending on business needs.

Compensation: $76,076-$90,000 salaried.
