General Manager Maintenance - Obion County Plant - 2nd Shift

Job Details: SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supervising and planning the execution of cost effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of all equipment/processes required by the Processing Maintenance and Refrigeration departments. This includes directing, coordinating and supporting maintenance supervisors and personnel; working with contractors, vendors, or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment, troubleshooting and resolving new and/or different technical problems regarding equipment/processes. Other responsibilities include: coordinating/maintaining the maintenance training program for maintenance Team Members; assisting in preparing and overseeing budgets; coordinating Team Member work schedules and ensuring all parts and assets necessary to perform maintenance are available and maintained; providing information for managerial decision making; perform other responsibilities as the need arises.

Requirements: Education: Education beyond high school, including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses. Experience: Three (3) years of Maintenance Supervision. Familiar with PSM and RMP programs. Tyson Boiler license preferred but not required. Must be able to pass a level four (4) hazmat physical. Computer Skills: Competent computer skills to include but not limited to: Microsoft Office; data entry; creating simple queries; ability to learn Tyson SAP-Plant Maintenance system. Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of maintenance supervisors and/or personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities; leadership ability; able to delegate and follow-up well; ensure completion dates are met. Special Skills: Considerable knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, refrigeration, and maintenance training skills. Display sound judgment; make sound decisions; organizational skills; ability to accept and delegate responsibility. Travel: 1 - 5 trips per year.
