QA/QC Lead

Responsibilities

Review and evaluate contractor Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

Review and approve subcontractor electrical procedures, work practices, and specifications in accordance with project requirements.

Monitor and verify that subcontractors are executing work in compliance with approved ITPs, project specifications, regulatory requirements, and applicable codes and standards.

Conduct field surveillance, inspections, and quality audits of electrical construction activities.

Witness inspections, testing, and hold points, ensuring quality requirements are met and documented.

Review inspection reports and quality documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Maintain and organize quality records, turnover documentation, and project dossiers for final client handover.

Monitor contractor and inspector performance to ensure adherence to project quality standards.

Lead and support the management of NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), CARs (Corrective Action Reports), and preventive actions through to resolution.

Provide guidance and technical support to contractors and project teams on quality-related matters.

Ensure non-conformances are properly investigated, documented, and resolved in collaboration with engineering and construction teams.

Participate in project meetings and communicate quality concerns, trends, and corrective actions to stakeholders.

Monitor personnel qualifications and certifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Verify the suitability and availability of materials and equipment for installation.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports as required by project leadership.

Identify, communicate, and help resolve quality issues that may impact project execution, schedule, or turnover.
Requirements
-
Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial, commercial, mission-critical, power, or large-scale construction projects.

Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience , preferably focused on electrical construction.

Strong knowledge of quality management systems, inspections, testing procedures, NCR/CAR processes, and turnover documentation.

Experience reviewing and implementing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality control procedures.
-
Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
-
Technical diploma in Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred.
-
Journeyman Electrician certification and equivalent field experience will also be considered.
-
Data center, mission-critical, EPC, or large industrial project experience is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Previous experience supporting hyperscale or mission-critical facility construction.

Experience working with EPC contractors and multiple subcontractors in fast-paced construction environments.

Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
