Network Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Sr. Network Engineer to support a large Cisco-based enterprise environment supporting approximately 6,000 users across 70-80 locations. The ideal candidate will be a true engineer rather than a network administrator, with strong experience across Cisco networking technologies, SD-WAN, Cisco ISE, Catalyst Center, and Palo Alto firewalls. The person should be comfortable handling projects, troubleshooting complex network issues, mentoring junior team members, and supporting ongoing network enhancements. Environment Network Size Approximately 6,000 users 70-80 sites Current Infrastructure Recently completed migration to a Cisco environment Some Aruba switches remain in the environment Experience with Aruba is a plus Team Structure 3 Network Engineers (FTEs) 1 Junior resource assisting from Help Desk Separate security team Networking team is responsible for firewall management and support

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of Enterprise Network Engineering experience Strong Cisco Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, Layer 2/3 troubleshooting) Hands-on Cisco SD-WAN / Viptela Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC) Cisco ISE (802.1X, RADIUS, authentication policies) Firewall experience (Palo Alto preferred) Strong troubleshooting skills in large enterprise environments Aruba switching experience Panorama administration experience CCNP certifications Palo Alto certifications Network automation experience (Python, APIs, etc.)
