Full job description
The 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. Candidates must be available to start on May 17 and participate through the duration of the program.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of a school/employment or any other visa, regardless of expiration date, now or in the future.

Our company designs and manufactures turf maintenance equipment; turf irrigation systems; landscape and lighting products; snow and ice management solutions; agricultural irrigation systems; rental, specialty and underground construction equipment; and residential turf and snow equipment. We market and sell TTC products worldwide through a network of distributors, dealers, mass retailers, hardware retailers, equipment rental center and home centers—as well as online direct to end users.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
Compensation & Job Architecture

Support job architecture initiatives including job mapping, leveling, grading, and job profile alignment.

Conduct market pricing and compensation benchmarking using survey data and other resources to support competitive and equitable pay practices.

Assist with job description reviews and alignment to job families, career levels, and job structures.
Data & Analytics
-
Analyze and validate compensation and workforce data using tools such as Excel and HR systems to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities.

Support data audits, reporting, and documentation that improve data quality and enable informed Total Rewards decisions.
AI, HR Technology & Innovation
-
Test and evaluate approved AI-enabled tools and HR technology use cases by validating outputs and documenting findings, limitations, and opportunities.

Explore opportunities to improve Total Rewards workflows through automation, self-service, and technology while maintaining appropriate data privacy and confidentiality.
Global Total Rewards Support
-
Partner with the Total Rewards team and global HR Business Partners to support research, inventories, benchmarking, and comparisons of Total Rewards programs.

Contribute to global Total Rewards projects and research as business priorities and program needs evolve.
Communications & Continuous Improvement

Develop and update Total Rewards knowledge resources including FAQs, guides, process documentation, and other materials that make information clear and accessible.

Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve workflows and communicate findings, recommendations, and lessons learned to the team.
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

Pursuing a bachelor's degree and having completed the first three years of a program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Data Analytics, or a related field with coursework or exposure to HR and/or business fundamentals.

Analytical mindset.

Comfort working with data and spreadsheet tools such as Excel

Strong attention to detail.

Clear written and verbal communication skills, organizational and project-management skills.

Collaboration, relationship-building, and curiosity about HR technology, automation, and AI .

Proactive, resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity, analytical yet practical.

Competitive Pay – Competitive compensation with an anticipated hourly rate of $20–$24. Actual rates may vary based on factors such as academic standing, business function, and other relevant considerations.
