Regional Director of WarehouseKY, Louisville

About the Role

Five Star Breaktime Solutions is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Warehouse Operations to lead warehouse performance across multiple locations within an assigned region.

This position is responsible for driving operational consistency, efficiency, safety, inventory accuracy, and profitability across the warehouse network. The Regional Director will develop warehouse leaders, standardize processes, optimize resources, and partner with senior leadership to continuously improve warehouse operations throughout the company. The Regional Director also serves as the Food Safety Champion for the region, partnering with the Warehouse Operations PCQI to ensure locations meet all company and regulatory food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for warehouse operations across multiple locations.

  • Drive improvements in productivity, inventory accuracy, workplace safety, food safety, labor efficiency, and overall warehouse performance.

  • Lead strategic initiatives focused on cost savings, process improvements, and P&L performance.

  • Develop and standardize warehouse procedures, workflows, and operating expectations across assigned locations.

  • Partner with regional and corporate leadership to establish company-wide warehouse best practices.

  • Monitor staffing levels and workforce needs to ensure locations are properly supported.

  • Develop, mentor, and hold warehouse management teams accountable for performance and company standards.

  • Review warehouse KPIs and operational reporting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Maintain strong inventory controls and drive improvements in inventory accuracy, receiving, storage, picking, staging, rotation, temperature control, traceability and distribution processes.

  • Ensure cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation processes are completed accurately and consistently.

  • Identify and address product loss, inventory discrepancies, receiving issues, and other warehouse-related concerns.

  • Optimize warehouse layouts, storage practices, workflows, labor, equipment, and available space.

  • Establish and monitor warehouse safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure each location complies with all company food safety standards, FDA CGMP requirements and applicable state food regulations.

  • Identify potential operational, staffing, inventory, and safety concerns before they impact the business.

  • Lead and support warehouse facility start-ups, expansions, relocations, acquisitions, and operational integrations.

  • Evaluate warehouse technology, equipment, and system needs and partner with IT and other departments on improvements.

  • Identify opportunities for automation and technology that improve warehouse efficiency and accuracy.

  • Support equipment purchasing, maintenance planning, and replacement strategies for warehouse operations.

  • Partner with Procurement and other departments to improve product flow, receiving processes, and inventory management.

  • Monitor warehouse expenses and identify opportunities to reduce operating costs while maintaining service and quality standards.

  • Ensure warehouse facilities maintain company expectations for cleanliness, organization, security, and safety.

  • Conduct operational reviews and warehouse audits across assigned locations.

  • Develop corrective action plans when locations are not meeting operational expectations.

  • Support the development and implementation of warehouse training and onboarding standards.

  • Identify and develop future warehouse leaders and support succession planning across the region.

  • Communicate operational concerns, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership while providing recommended solutions.

  • Support company growth by ensuring warehouse operations can effectively scale with new locations, acquisitions, and increased business volume.

  • Model and reinforce a food safety culture, ensuring every warehouse manager acts as Food Safety Champion for their location.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • 3–5 years of warehouse, distribution, or operations leadership experience.

  • Relevant Food Safety certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

  • Multi-site operations experience required.

  • Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse operations.

  • Strong leadership, financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience developing leaders and managing operational performance.

  • Experience driving process improvement, standardization, and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Ability to analyze KPIs and operational data to make business decisions.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to travel up to 90%.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work

  • Must be able to consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma or LEAN certification.

  • AIB International, SQF, BRCGS, or HACCP training or certification.

  • PCQI certification (FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food).

  • Experience leading warehouse operations across multiple markets or regions.

  • Experience with warehouse management or inventory management systems.

  • Experience with facility start-ups, expansions, acquisitions, or operational integrations.

  • Experience implementing warehouse technology, automation, or process improvements.
