This role moves material around the plant with a large crane in order for production to run smoothly. The position is responsible for assisting with shipping duties and rail movements in a timely, safe and efficient manner. · 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am · Trained on Days or Nights · Go into rotation 4 days on / 4 days off · Can hold days/nights Responsibilities You will start out in banding and packaging coiled steel. - Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to stand on your feet for 12 hours a day - Must have good hand-eye coordination - Mechanical aptitude a plus, but not required - Competent in basic math and computer skills - Can operate banding tools - Can read a tape measure - Must be able to handle small parts - Must understand and follow the quality policy and procedures - Ability to recognize quality issues and problems -- detect defects - Must be able to read, comprehend and follow detailed instructions on productions and understand English - Must be able to read and understand bill of material and or production order - Must be able to distinguish between part numbers and sizes - Must be able to count and label parts accurately - Must follow all safety policies and procedures - Must have good safety awareness and efficiency skills - Oral and written communication skills -- including legible writing - 0-6 months prior experience - Forklift and crane license - Must have valid driver's license What We Offer - Starting Pay $19.76/hour + $1.00 shift differential - Paid Holidays - Starting on Day 1 - Performance-based pay increases - Access to our very generous benefits package on Day 1 - Quarterly profit sharing: your hard work pays off! - Overtime is paid at time, and a half and Double time starts after 48 hours - 401k retirement plan with company contribution and employee match - Education assistance - Employee development, training with room for growth opportunities - Strong culture rooted in respect for everyone Hesitant to apply because you may not meet every specific requirement?
