Full job description
For roles that are 100% remote or hybrid, you must have access to a reliable high-speed internet connection to support daily job responsibilities. A minimum bandwidth of 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required. Those fully remote associates residing in states where service is required by contract, law, or regulation will be allowed to submit for reimbursement.
Role Overview:
This Actuarial Analys t will report to an Actuary on the Medical Economics team. The position is eligible for the Actuarial Development Program, which provides actuarial students with exam support, mentorship, and rotational opportunities.

This is a 100% Remote position but you must live in EST or CST time zones

Responsibilities
-
Calculate, monitor, and assess impact of benefit and provider reimbursement changes, cost containment programs, and medical cost and trends
-
Assists in developing and maintaining spreadsheets and databases for purposes of trend and data analytics

Performs monthly data analysis projects to assist analysts

Assists in validating HVOs

Assists in maintaining and developing medical economic databases and applications

Assists in developing and refreshing actuarial medical economic models

Populates quarterly reporting templates for LOBs

Prepares internal and external communications, including that with regulatory authorities and internal management

Uses best practice models and other industry recognized pricing tools
Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or related field required

One to three (1 – 3) actuarial exams
-
Internship experience a plus

Knowledge of Excel, SQL, spreadsheets, data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI, and database applications used for analysis
