Customer Development Chemist

As a Customer Development Chemist, you will be responsible for supporting developing and maintaining products for Auto OEM customers. The base salary range for this position is $78,000 to $87,500, with the possibility of an annual bonus up to 4.5% of base salary. Key Responsibilities - Work with cross functional teams and support new color and product development, and technology cost and improvement projects. - Follow experimental procedures, produce reliable data, and demonstrate the ability to contribute to the design of experiments. - Lead independent projects or portions of larger projects. - Utilize project management skills, process technology, knowledge of manufacturing, process technology, business, and internal/external resources with some direction/guidance from a team leader or senior chemist. - Demonstrate commitment to goals through words and actions. - Foster a culture of innovation. - Application of root cause analysis and BPI tools to support resolution of technical, manufacturing, and field issues. - Support formula optimization and raw material initiative projects. - Knowledge of chemistry/coating technology supports manufacturing, business, cost optimization, and internal/external customers. - Seek new projects and does not avoid complex assignments. - Describe action plans to appropriate parties.
