In this key role, you will work across multiple pharmacy locations, primarily the intensive care unit, on a variety of shifts, including float shifts. As a Critical Care Pharmacist, you will respond to codes, review and verify medication orders, patient medical records, and medication profiles, and optimize safe medication therapy. You will interact and/or round with other health professionals to promote the safe and effective use of medications, and provide clinical services to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, including pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic interchange, IV/PO conversions, TPN and aminoglycoside monitoring, and pharmacist interventions. You will also prepare and dispense medications in all inpatient settings, counsel patients on appropriate drug use, and oversee the dispensing, return, and waste of controlled substances on your assigned shift/unit. Working in assigned centralized and decentralized pharmacy areas and patient care units, you will complete operational and clinical projects as assigned by Pharmacy Management.

Schedule: Varied 10-hour shifts, depending on department needs, including weekends and holidaysHourly Salary Range: $95.61-$112.00Bargaining Unit: HX-UPTEQualifications

We're seeking a dedicated clinical professional with:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required

  • Active California Pharmacist license required

  • Minimum 2 years of hospital inpatient experience or completion of an ASHP-accredited residency

  • PGY2 residency training in Critical Care or related field strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations.

  • Skill in preparing sterile intravenous hazardous and non-hazardous medications, using aseptic technique and following approved policies and procedures.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills
