Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $110,000.00 Annually

Are you an accounting professional who thrives on accuracy, organization, and keeping things running smoothly? Chicago Tube & Iron (CTI) is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting / Payroll Manager to join our team!

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of accounting, financial reporting, and payroll responsibilities while playing an important role in supporting the financial operations of a well-established company.

What You'll Do

As our Accounting / Payroll Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing multi-state payroll operations, and supporting our accounting team.

Payroll Management

• Oversee accurate and timely semi-monthly, multi-state payroll processing, including garnishments, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state payroll regulations.

• Maintain payroll records, review employee changes, and prepare payroll-related reports.

• Coordinate weekly 401(k) contributions and quarterly enrollments.

• Serve as the primary contact for payroll software, troubleshooting, and system updates.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and maintain accurate financial records.

• Manage monthly and annual closing processes.

• Prepare and distribute financial reporting packages.

• Assist with quarterly and annual budgets and financial planning.

• Gather supporting documentation for quarterly and year-end audits.

• Maintain financial reporting software and coordinate system improvements.

• Support compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.

Team Support & Collaboration

• Provide guidance and support to Accounts Receivable and Payroll team members.

• Partner with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and payroll operations.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

• 5–6 years of accounting experience preferred, including payroll and financial reporting responsibilities.

• Experience processing multi-state payroll and a strong understanding of applicable payroll regulations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Experience with ADP is a definite plus!

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• A commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork.
