Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support accurate and timely payroll operations for a large employee population in Chehalis, Washington. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple states while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidence working with ADP Workforce Now, and the ability to resolve payroll issues with professionalism and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle payroll for a workforce of more than 500 employees, ensuring each payroll run is completed accurately and on schedule.

• Administer multi-state payroll activities, applying state-specific wage, tax, and reporting requirements correctly.

• Maintain and update employee payroll records in ADP Workforce Now, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and other payroll-related changes.

• Review payroll data for discrepancies, investigate variances, and correct issues before final submission.

• Coordinate with HR, finance, and management to gather needed payroll information and ensure alignment across departments.

• Respond to employee questions related to pay, deductions, tax withholdings, and payroll adjustments in a timely manner.

• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for internal review and audit needs.

• Support payroll process improvements and assist with system-related updates or changes when needed. Requirements • Experience handling full-cycle payroll from data review through final processing and reconciliation.

• Proven ability to manage payroll for employees working in multiple states.

• Hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now in a payroll capacity.

• Background processing payroll for organizations with more than 500 employees.

• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax withholdings, deductions, and compliance standards.

• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.

• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with employees and internal stakeholders.
