Job Description Summary

Depot Subject Matter Expert provides depot-level technical expertise for T700/CT7 engine maintenance, repair, inspection, assembly/disassembly, troubleshooting, and test activities. This role supports both hands-on shop execution and quality/engineering-focused evaluation of maintenance activities, ensuring work is performed in accordance with technical directives, approved procedures, and operational requirements. This role also helps develop workforce capability by coaching and training customer personnel on quality systems, supporting documentation, workstation development, heavy machine operation, and technical discipline.

Role Overview

GE Aerospace is seeking a T700/CT7 (Turboshaft) Depot Subject Matter Expert - Shop Floor to support hands-on depot execution for T700/CT7 engines, modules, and components. This role is ideal for a practical engine maintenance professional who brings deep shop knowledge, strong technician instincts, and a commitment to safe, disciplined execution. You will help drive daily maintenance activity across inspection, disassembly, assembly, tooling, support equipment, and test stand support while coaching personnel and helping the team solve issues quickly and effectively. This role is full time, on-site at customer facility located in Deblin, Poland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support depot maintenance execution for T700-GE-701C/D, CT7-2E1 and CT7-8E engines, modules, and components across inspection, disassembly, assembly, repair support, and final preparation activities.

  • Assist with removal, installation, inspection, repairs, and modifications using approved maintenance procedures and sound workmanship practices.

  • Train the customer and support engine and module disassembly and assembly activities with focus on task discipline, cleanliness, hardware accountability, and safe execution.

  • Support movement, handling, preservation, storage, and transportation preparation of engines and engine modules as required by depot operations.

  • Assist with installation and removal of engines on test stands and support engine operation, evaluation, and testing activities with the appropriate customer teams.

  • Inspect, maintain, and train customer on engine ground support equipment and related support equipment needed for maintenance execution.

  • Assist in selection and use of special tools, hand tools, fixtures, and test equipment correctly, and help reinforce proper use, care, and readiness of shop assets.

  • Provide hands-on coaching and on-the-job training to customer personnel to strengthen technician capability and execution consistency.

  • Help identify and resolve shop floor issues involving tooling, equipment readiness, workflow interruptions, or technical execution barriers.

  • Work closely with GE internal and customer operations, quality, and engineering teams to maintain safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance flow.

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in T700/CT7 engine maintenance, depot operations, or closely related turboshaft engine shop activity.

  • Hands-on experience with engine or module inspection, assembly, disassembly, and maintenance execution in a controlled shop environment.

  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings, schematics, and maintenance instructions and apply them accurately on the shop floor.

  • Experience supporting troubleshooting, repair activity, or maintenance task completion on turbine engines or related systems.

  • Experience using tooling, fixtures, support equipment, and test equipment relevant to engine depot maintenance and handling activity.

  • Working knowledge of safe work practices, tool control, hardware accountability, and procedural compliance in maintenance operations.

  • Ability to provide effective on-the-job training, technician coaching, and practical execution guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting shop operations, production flow, military or depot sustainment programs, or complex maintenance environments utilizing FLIGHT DECK or similar lean operating system.

  • Background in test operations, equipment readiness, engine handling, or support equipment maintenance.

  • Demonstrated tooling discipline and ability to reinforce efficient, organized, and repeatable work practices.

  • Experience working within matrix operations, quality, engineering, and support functions to remove barriers and solve issues quickly.

  • Ability to contribute to continuous improvement, daily execution rhythm, and practical shop floor problem solving.

  • Experience leading by example in workmanship, safe execution, technician development, and task accountability.

Success in this role means helping the customer depot team execute hands-on engine maintenance with strong safety, quality, and workflow discipline. You will bring practical shop leadership, support reliable use of tools and equipment, coach technicians in the moment, and help keep engine and module work moving efficiently from receiving, inspection, and teardown through test and final preparation. Customer will take away a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to properly utilize and implement FLIGHT DECK tools in response to shop identified concerns.
