Full job description
About RetailReady We’re RetailReady (YC W24), an AI-powered supply chain compliance engine shaking up an antiquated (and yes, unsexy) industry. After YC, we raised a $6.6M seed round and went heads-down building for our first enterprise customers. Fast forward: we’ve signed over 15 enterprise deals and have a strong pipeline, we’re officially in scaling mode. We're building software that solves real problems for real people in the supply chain – the backbone of every business. Your work will have immediate, tangible impact: empowering warehouse workers with cutting-edge technology, ensuring retailers (think Walmart, Amazon, Target) can stock their shelves efficiently, and eliminating compliance headaches that cost companies millions. This isn't abstract work – you'll see the direct results of what you build every day. Our engineers even go onsite to warehouses to deploy live. What We Build RetailReady is the first AI-powered compliance engine designed specifically for retail supply chains. We automate the complex web of compliance requirements between brands, warehouses, and retailers, turning weeks of manual work into minutes. Why Retail Compliance Matters
- Massive disruption opportunity: Most supply chain systems are archaic — bad UX, slow onboarding, outdated tech stacks
- Engineer’s playground: Huge opportunity to modernize with AI/ML and great product design
- First to market: We’re the first to solve operational retailer compliance inside warehouses
- Fragmented industry: Compliance is scattered across stakeholders — we’re unifying it
About the Founders We bring deep operational, product, and engineering backgrounds from Stord (supply chain unicorn) and Microsoft. In less than a year since launching, we’ve signed customers including Brümate, Natural Dog Company, and Ware2Go (a UPS company). Check out our Weekly Roundup videos on LinkedIn to see our team culture. The Role We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineering Intern to join our small, high-velocity team of 15. You’ll work directly with the founding team and founding engineer on projects that touch every layer of our stack. This is not a side project internship… your work will ship to production and impact our customers immediately. What You’ll Do
- Build and ship features across the stack using React Native, Flask, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Work with real customer data to improve warehouse operations and compliance flows
- Collaborate with engineers and founders to define and execute product requirements
- Gain exposure to scaling infrastructure and live deployments at warehouses
- Contribute to internal documentation and engineering best practices
What We’re Looking For
- Strong foundation in computer science and modern web development (school projects, internships, or personal projects all count)
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn… you don’t need to know everything on day one
- Comfort working across the stack (frontend + backend)
- Startup mindset: resourceful, proactive, and willing to take ownership
- Excitement to learn about supply chain technology and solve real-world problems
Bonus Points
- Experience with React Native, Flask, or TypeScript
- Prior internship or project experience in logistics, supply chain, or B2B SaaS
- Contributions to open-source projects or strong side projects
Why Join Us Now
- Real-world impact: Your code will directly improve operations for brands and warehouses
- Learning opportunity: Work closely with experienced founders and engineers in a startup setting
- Fast-paced environment: Ship quickly, learn from users, and iterate
- Mentorship: Direct collaboration with founding engineers to accelerate your growth
Location & Internship Details
- Location: San Francisco (in-person team)
- Duration: 10–12 weeks (flexible start date)
- Compensation: Paid internship with competitive hourly rate
- Perks: Latest equipment, exposure to customer go-lives, and a seat at the table with the founding team
Ready to Apply? If you’re fired up about disrupting supply chain compliance with cutting-edge technology, we want to hear from you. Apply by sending us:
- A brief note about why you’re excited about RetailReady
- Links to projects, GitHub, or other work you’re proud of
- Your resume (not as important as 1 and 2, but if you have it we would love to read through it)
