Event Director, Luxury and Timepieces

Are you a strategic event leader who thrives on building exceptional customer experiences and delivering commercial growth?

Do you enjoy developing industry relationships, identifying new opportunities, and creating market-leading events that bring communities together?

About our Team

RX connects the jewelry industry through events and year-round relationships that help businesses grow. Luxury is an invitation-only buying event for fine jewelry brands and retailers, while Timepieces is a growing watch destination alongside Luxury and JCK.

About the Role

We’re seeking a commercially minded Event Director to lead Luxury and grow Timepieces. This high-impact role owns event strategy, commercial performance, customer experience, and delivery from planning through post-event evaluation. You will shape the future of both events by building strong industry relationships, driving growth opportunities, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional experiences for exhibitors and retailers.

Responsibilities

  • Set and deliver the strategy for Luxury and Timepieces, supporting growth, customer value, and a distinctive market position.

  • Grow Timepieces by attracting watch brands, expanding participation, building industry relationships, and creating a compelling destination.

  • Shape the brand mix, education, networking, partnerships, and programming to deliver value for exhibitors and retailers.

  • Maintain Luxury’s standards for curation, hospitality, quality, and security.

  • Identify new segments, programs, services, and experiences that support growth.

  • Own the events’ P&L, budgets, forecasts, performance reviews, and hotel block planning.

  • Partner with sales, marketing, operations, registration, and other teams to deliver clear priorities, timelines, and accountability.

  • Build relationships with exhibitors, retailers, associations, and strategic partners, serving as a visible market representative.

Requirements

  • Experience leading and growing a B2B event, business, or product with accountability for commercial results and customer experience.

  • Strong financial and commercial judgment, including budgets, forecasts, and P&L management.

  • Proven ability to build relationships with senior customers, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to set strategy and lead delivery through cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to use customer insight, market trends, and performance data to identify opportunities.

  • Sound judgment, creativity, attention to detail, and comfort making decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to travel and work hours aligned with event schedules.

  • Experience in jewelry, watches, luxury, retail, or trade shows is preferred.
