Heavy Equipment Field Technician

Competitive wages 12. Company uniforms provided Our construction equipment group is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Field Technician for our Case Construction Equipment Harrisburg, PA location. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to: 1. Complete inspections 2. Removal and installation of parts 3. Implementation of optional accessories 4. Maintenance 5. Basic diagnosis and troubleshooting 6. Testing 7. General repairs 8. Upkeep of the service truck 9. Responsible for the inventory of onboard parts 10. Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities 11. Performs other duties as assigned 12. Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time Desired Skills and Qualifications: 1. Three years of previous heavy equipment or over the road (OTR) repair experience is required 2. Excellent mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of the following systems: engine, power train, hydraulics and electrical 3. Possess own tools 4. A positive attitude and high energy 5. Computer programs - Microsoft Outlook,Case/New Holland EST experience 6. Language Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. 7. Mathematical Skills - Basic: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. 8. Reasoning Ability - Intermediate: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Demands/Work Environment: 1. Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands; Frequently will talk/hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; Occasionally will sit. 2. Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 25 pounds; Frequently will lift 26 to 50 pounds; Occasionally will lift from 51 to 100 plus pounds. 3. Work Environment: Regularly will work near moving mechanical parts; Frequently will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, under extreme heat or cold; Occasionally will work in wet or humid conditions (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, vibration.
