Senior VDC Software Developer

Job Description At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a talented SeniorVDC Software Developer to join our dedicated team at our headquarters in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be assigned to the VDC team to lead the development of digital solutions that support pharmaceutical construction projects. This role will focus on building new add-ins to existing tools and maintaining those tools for enhancing project delivery, compliance, engineering, construction, and validation teams. Ideally, you will have a strong background in software development, a deep understanding of construction workflows, and familiarity with the complexity of pharmaceutical facilities. Additional Responsibilities 1. Works on complex assignments independently, with attention to detail, and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues; involves others in decisions when needed. 2. Lead the design, development, and deployment of custom software applications. 3. Work directly with the VDC team. 4. Collaborate with engineering, design, validation, and project management teams to identify digital opportunities and translate them into scalable solutions. 5. Integrate software with BIM platforms, project management tools, and compliance systems. 6. Ensure software solutions meet industry standards for data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance. 7. Create, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. 8. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across all software. 9. Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to construction tech. 10. Maintenance of interactive dashboards. 11. Proficient in Clarity, Power BI, Fuzor, Takt planning, and other field technologies. Qualifications & Requirements 1. Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). 2. 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with some time spent in a senior/lead role. 3. Proficiency in modern programming languages (C#, Unity, JavaScript, Python, etc.). 4. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.). 5. Familiarity with construction technologies (Autodesk Forge, Revit APIs, Navisworks, etc.). 6. Strong communication and leadership skills. 7. Willingness to assist in implementing new software and standards. 8. Strong working knowledge of MEP systems and installations. 9. Has great organizational skills and can juggle multiple jobs and assignments. 10. Customer service experience exhibiting strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with individuals (co-workers, clients, vendors) at all levels. 11. Has a high level of understanding and capabilities in C# (C-Sharp) and Unity coding language. 12. Has working knowledge in Navisworks, Revit, BIM 360 / ACC, Fuzor (model animations), and Web development. Physical Demands 1. Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods. 2. Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Work Environment 1. Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying working conditions. Travel 1. This position will have 0-25% travel, or as required by the assigned project. 2. Overnight travel or staying in the city of the Client's location is possible, depending on the assignment. 3. Must have access to reliable transportation. 6. Must have the ability to travel and commute on a daily or routine basis. 7.
