Role Summary

The Asset Data Collector is the core of the program. This role walks down in-scope assets, captures component-level Bill of Materials data, and records it in the format CF has defined for mass upload into SAP.

What This Role Owns

Physically locate each in-scope asset and match it to its existing SAP record

Capture nameplate data — manufacturer, model, serial, ratings — with photographs

Decompose each asset into its spare-part components to build the BOM

Validate captured data against available P&ID and PSI documentation

Enter records in the SAP-ready format and self-check against mandatory fields

Apply efficiency to repeat-family assets by reusing validated component data where assets are identical

Flag access issues, discrepancies, or unsafe conditions to the Data Collection Lead immediately

Skills and Requirements

3+ years in maintenance, reliability, or maintenance planning in an industrial, chemical, energy, or utilities environment Formal electrical qualification or training appropriate to industrial distribution equipment Able to identify mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation components on rotating and static equipment Comfortable reading P&IDs, equipment drawings, and nameplates Experience building or populating BOMs in SAP PM or another CMMS Able to work at height and in an active operating facility under strict safety protocols Strong discipline in accurate, structured data entry TWIC Card Working Knowledge of SAP Bulk terminal, fertilizer, or chemical facility experience Experience with MCC, VFD, and PLC component identification
