Description

We are looking for a Recruiter to support hiring efforts while also managing key compliance activities for driver onboarding and contractor readiness. This contract opportunity has the potential to become permanent and is ideal for someone who can balance full-cycle recruiting with careful document review in a fast-paced transportation environment. The position begins with onsite training and then offers a hybrid work arrangement, making it a strong fit for a recruiter who is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead recruiting efforts for driver and independent contractor positions across multiple operating locations, using proactive sourcing strategies to build a strong candidate pipeline.

• Manage the full recruitment process from outreach through onboarding, including screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and maintaining timely communication with candidates.

• Review and approve uploaded onboarding documentation to confirm completeness, accuracy, and alignment with compliance standards.

• Run recurring compliance reports and track outstanding items to help ensure drivers meet operational and regulatory requirements.

• Verify critical credentials and supporting records such as insurance coverage, commercial driving documentation, and other contractor-related materials.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to maintain recruitment momentum and provide coverage for recruiting and compliance needs during a leave period.

• Support applicant tracking and recruiting workflows by keeping candidate records current and organized within the appropriate systems.

• Contribute to efficient recruitment for vehicle-based roles, with emphasis on candidates who operate their own equipment or larger vehicles.

Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in recruiting, with the ability to manage full-cycle hiring responsibilities independently.

• Background recruiting independent contractors, drivers, or transportation-related talent, preferably including larger vehicle or truck-based roles.

• Experience supporting high-volume hiring across multiple sites or regions.

• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools used to manage recruiting activity and candidate pipelines.

• Ability to review onboarding and compliance documentation with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the capacity to balance recruiting priorities and administrative follow-through.

• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are a plus. TalentMatch®
