Job Summary
Southwire's Information Technology Rotational Pathway (ITRP) is an early-career development initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of IT leaders. The program serves as a strategic pipeline for emerging talent, providing full-time opportunities for recent graduates.
This structured program combines cross-functional rotations, immersive hands-on projects, mentorship, and a comprehensive onboarding experience to accelerate technical capability and business acumen. Participants gain exposure to multiple IT disciplines including platform engineering, operations, applications, data analytics (BI), Artificial Intelligence and machine Learning (AI/ML), and enterprise systems while building leadership skills and organizational understanding.
The program's mission is to build a strong talent pipeline, deliver meaningful technical and strategic assignments, ensure broad exposure across IT functions, and provide a consistent, high-quality development experience that supports both individual growth and long-term organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in structured IT rotations across multiple functional areas (e.g., Project Management, Infrastructure, Applications, AI/Data & Analytics, Digital/Enterprise Systems).
Contribute to moderately complex technical projects, delivering solutions that support business and operational objectives.
Analyze system performance, data trends, and technical issues to identify root causes and recommend improvements.
Apply foundational IT principles to support daily operations, including troubleshooting, system enhancements, and user support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technology solutions.
Support the design, testing, and implementation of new systems, tools, and process improvements.
Develop documentation, technical specifications, and process maps to ensure scalability and knowledge transfer.
Participate in formal training, mentorship, and development activities aligned with program objectives.
Communicate project updates, insights, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Comply with all company policies, cybersecurity standards, and IT governance practices; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree
Specialized Degree: Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, computer engineering, industrial engineering, management information systems (MIS) or related field
0-2 Years Experience
3.5 (major) GPA
Preferred Education & Experience
2-4 Years Experience
Exposure to enterprise systems, programming languages (like python), or data tools
Experience with project work, technical problem-solving, or team-based assignments
