Intern - Software Engineering

DCS has an outstanding opportunity for a Software Developer Intern to join our team in Dayton, OH, working with our Selection and Training branch within our Air/Space Selection and Training Branch. This position offers a hybrid office/remote work arrangement, and elements of software leadership and customer interface. This position will be to support ongoing software application development in Dayton, OH. Essential Job Functions: Supporting DoD customers in their pursuit of developing, documenting, and maintaining integrative, efficient, and innovative software solutions Working with multidisciplinary teams on joint, cross-functional software solutions Participating in business development activities Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Pursuing a B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline. In the last year of an Associate's degree program with acceptance to a Bachelor's program, or 2nd year or higher in a BS program, at an accredited institution Experience (classroom acceptable) with React or Next.JS Strong interest in programming and software development Ability to work well in virtual, team-oriented environments Highly motivated problem solver Able to work at least 20 hours per week Local to Dayton, OH, and able to commute to the Wright-Patterson AFB vicinity.
