Now Hiring: 3 Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) for Huntsville ISD!
A school district in Huntsville, Texas is seeking dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to join their team for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a fully in-person position providing speech therapy services to students under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist.

Job Responsibilities
The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services to students. Responsibilities include:

Conducting speech therapy services under the direction of the supervising SLP
-
Assisting with treatment implementation and educational activities
-
Completing required documentation and progress reporting
-
Supporting students in achieving communication goals outlined in their plan of care
-
Maintaining compliance with district, state, and professional standards
Minimum Requirements
-
Graduate of an SLPA program with an Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
-
Successful completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience
-
Current SLPA certification/licensure in the State of Texas
-
Compliance with all applicable professional standards of practice
-
One (1) year of SLPA experience preferred
-
Current Health Certificate (if required)
-
TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-Ray (if applicable)
-
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
-
Must be at least 18 years of age
Assignment Highlights

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will have clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities/ plan of care assigned by the Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program
-
Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract
-
Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice
-
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
-
One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred
-
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
-
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
-
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
