This is a bargaining union position.

We are seeking aSpanish Medical Interpreterto provide high‑quality interpretation that supports clear, compassionate communication between providers, patients, and families. This fulltime, full‑benefits position is central to our commitment to equity, dignity, and belonging for all members of our community. Interpreters may also support the Language Access Services department in areas such as training and education, documentation, community or committee work, or other initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of professional community interpreting.

  • High proficiency inSpanishandEnglish.

  • Completion of a60‑hour medical interpreter training.

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and cultural humility.

  • Strong knowledge of the National Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

  • Ability to work in dynamic clinical environments with professionalism and compassion aligned with UVM Health values.

  • Availability to drive to different UVM Health sites in VT and Plattsburgh NY
