Position Summary The Senior Engineer Technician is responsible for producing accurate, cost-effective structural design deliverables that support ship construction using functional design documentation and engineering requirements. This position develops construction deliverables that support fabrication and production by applying structural design principles, 3D modeling, and engineering standards. The Senior Engineer Technician assists in determining technical requirements, meeting project schedules, and resolving production-related design issues within the field of competence. Domestic travel may be required. Essential Functions Develop and maintain detailed 3D structural models using ShipConstructor and other applicable structural design software Generate accurate 2D production drawings and construction deliverables from 3D models and engineering documentation. Process structural parts, including nesting activities, to support fabrication and production requirements.
