Staff Accountant

Description

Are you looking to grow your finance career working within a manufacturing company as a Staff Accountant? This Staff Accountant should have the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and providing accurate financial information. In this role, you will assist with the following: processing accounts receivable/payable transactions, preparing bank reconciliations, preparing maintenance schedules, completing journal entries, maintaining bookkeeping operations, assisting with audit documentation, preparing annual budget analysis, prepare and update financial project models, monitoring cash flow updates, preparing financial statements and reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards while collaborating with internal teams.

Everyday Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and account analysis

• Assist with daily accounting functions

• Maintain fixed asset system

• Ensure compliance with applicable standards (GAAP)

• Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts

• Monitor the record keeping system

• Stay abreast of accounting standards, financial systems, and regulatory requirements

• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation needed

Requirements

The ideal Staff Accountant will preferably have an Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.

Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:

• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred

• Healthcare/Medical industry experience a PLUS

• GL, AP, AR, FP& A experiences

• Experience with Dynamics GP or another ERP/accounting system preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables/V-Lookups)

• Exceptional communication skills
