Your Opportunity:
You will be working on projects specializing in technical design under the guidance of a Senior Interior Designer. This is a junior-level Interior Design Coordinator role targeting someone who is interested in pursuing interior design certification and/or licensure. You will support the interior design team and work collaboratively with the architectural team in developing and documenting varying aspects of the interior design scope, including but not limited to space planning, interior architecture, interior materials and palette, specifications, FFE, and signage.
Your Key Responsibilities:

Support interior design teams in the development of design documentation and presentation.

Participate in the development of interior design in accordance with cost parameters and ensure interior design intent is maintained through documentation and construction.

Assist in the validation that design complies with building codes, ADA guidelines, and LEED per project type and requirements.

Assist in the selection of interior systems and materials, finishes and fixtures.

Research and develop comprehensive finish and material palettes. Create 3D renderings utilizing programs such as SketchUp, Revit, and Enscape.

Participate in the completion of FFE and signage scope from design and selection through bid, coordinating with specific client standards and project needs.

Attend meetings, both internal and client facing, with goals of observation of the coordination of designs and direct presentations.

Demonstrate a commitment to the profession and the firm by participating in and volunteering with a professional organization and working towards interior design certification and/or licensure.

Perform Construction Administration tasks to support the scope of work.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
-
Basic knowledge and application of accessibility codes and applicable building codes.

Ability to conduct space planning, block and stack, and adjacencies in coordination with the building program.

Ability to develop floor plans, elevations, and details.

Basic understanding of all phases of architectural construction document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.

Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.

Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting through all phases of document production.

Ability to engage in creative and critical thinking. To hand sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively.

Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material. To communicate abstract ideas (verbal/written).

Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUP, Adobe Creative Suite, and Enscape.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.

Prior interior design internship or professional experience strongly preferred.

Pay Range:
- Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA, VA Areas-$65,100.00 - $91,200.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
