Full job description
Our client, a leader in advanced analytical testing for the semiconductor industry, is seeking a Senior Chemist, Technical Laboratory Operations to join their team. As a Senior Chemist, Technical Laboratory Operations, you will be part of the Analytics & Metrology, Wet Lab team supporting high-throughput analytical metrology in a production laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to data integrity, a hands-on analytical mindset, and the ability to lead investigations that keep laboratory results stable, precise, and audit-ready—so you can help materials consistently meet stringent semiconductor specifications.
What's the Job?

Execute and oversee routine analysis of semiconductor chemicals (metals, anions, organics, particles) using established methods.

Review and approve analytical results to ensure accuracy, consistency, and conformance with product specifications.

Ensure timely release of materials by meeting required turnaround times for production testing.

Monitor analytical results daily for trends or shifts that may indicate process or contamination issues.

Serve as the technical expert for critical laboratory instrumentation and advanced troubleshooting to protect uptime, sensitivity, and stability.
What's Needed?
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.

7+ years of analytical laboratory experience, including significant time in a production or QC environment.

Strong expertise in chromatography (IC, LC, GC) and molecular spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman, NIR).

Analytical lab/chemistry experience is a must have, including laboratory testing and chemical lab/cleanroom exposure.

Demonstrated ability to apply statistical tools (e.g., SPC, control charts, trending) and investigate out-of-control conditions or anomalous data.
