Full job description
Description We are looking for a Benefits Administrator to support employee benefits operations for a Contract position based in Milton, Massachusetts. This role focuses on coordinating benefit programs, handling eligibility and enrollment activity, and ensuring accurate administration of COBRA and related processes. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of compensation and benefits practices, works carefully with confidential information, and communicates effectively with employees, vendors, and internal partners.
Responsibilities:

Administer day-to-day benefit activities, including enrollments, status changes, terminations, and employee eligibility updates.

Coordinate with benefit providers and internal stakeholders to maintain accurate records and resolve coverage or billing issues promptly.

Manage COBRA-related tasks, ensuring notifications, timelines, and documentation are handled in compliance with applicable requirements.

Support employees with benefit questions by explaining plan options, enrollment procedures, and policy details in a clear and thorough manner.

Review benefit data for accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, and help maintain organized documentation for audits and reporting needs.

Assist with compensation and benefits processes by preparing information, tracking changes, and supporting routine administrative tasks.

Partner with HR during the pre-start interview process and help ensure benefit-related onboarding steps are completed smoothly. Requirements • Experience administering employee benefit programs in a human resources or benefits-focused role.

Working knowledge of benefits coordination, enrollment processes, and employee support practices.

Familiarity with COBRA administration and the ability to manage related documentation and deadlines accurately.

Understanding of compensation and benefits principles, including confidentiality and data accuracy expectations.

Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees, vendors, and HR teams.
