Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking for an Azure Data Engineer with Java development skills to join their linking team which is responsible for linking billions of public and proprietary records to create a unique entity identifier for consumers, organizations, and health care providers. We're looking for an experienced, smart, driven individual who will help analyze our data we utilize in our linking solutions by using quantitative approaches with a unique blend of analytical, mathematical, and technical skills. We’re looking to hire a senior-level contractor to independently design and build a new Healthcare Organization (HCO) Header, and the target is to complete the work by the end of 2027.
The solution will be built primarily in ECL, so we need someone with strong, hands-on ECL and data experience. The ideal candidate should also have a solid background in data linking and analytics, along with experience in Azure and Java. Given the scope, we’re looking for someone at a consulting/senior level who can take ownership of the work and operate independently. The pay rate for this role ranges based on years of experience between $50-60/hour.
Accountabilities:
- Work in iterative processes to perform advanced big data analysis, validate findings, or test hypotheses, and communicate results and methodology.
- Provide recommendations on who to utilize our data to optimize our search, increase recall and/or precision of results, and help us to better understand or existing data.
- Communicate technical information successfully with technical and non-technical audiences such as third-party vendors, external customer technical departments, various levels of management and other relevant parties.
- Collaborate effectively with all team members as well as attend regular team meetings.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent technical discipline
- 7+ years of experience working with big data operations and numerous large data sets/data warehouses.
- Strong experience with JAVA
- Experience with ETL, Big data tools is preferred
- Experience with Java, Azure Data bricks, ADLS, ADX is preferred
- Ability to assemble, analyze, and evaluate big data and be able to make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations to stakeholders.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, good understanding of different data structures, algorithms, and their usage in solving business problems.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience including senior and executive management, customers, etc.
- Strong skills in setting, communicating, implementing, and achieving business objectives and goals.
- Strong organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments, and strong delegation skills involving prioritizing and reprioritizing projects and managing projects of various size and complexity -strong, hands-on ECL and data experience -background in data linking and analytics -Experience in Azure and Java
