Essential Functions: 1. Assist young or disabled students safely on and off bus or van 2. Monitors student conduct and documents safety violations 3. Handles, loads, and secures wheelchairs, installs and secures car seats and boosters 4. Handles, loads, and secures any medical equipment or devices as required 5. Maintains confidentiality at all times concerning student information 6. Maintains professional behavior at all times with all stakeholders 7. Ability to physically render aid to students in the event of an accident or emergency 8. Assists drivers with the housekeeping of the vehicle Qualifications: 1. Most desk jobs are sedentary or light: Sedentary: involves sitting most of the time. The incumbent should be able to exert up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects. Light work: If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the individual sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. The incumbent should be able to exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Medium work: The incumbent should be able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects. Heavy work: The incumbent should be able to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects. Very heavy work: The incumbent should be able to exert in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and in excess of 50 lbs of force frequently, and in excess of 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
